If you're short on patience or short on time then this post is definitely for you as today we’ll be sharing the recipe of how you can make cupcakes in a microwave oven.  Well, admit it or not, we all love to have a scrumptious dessert at one point or another & what could be better to make them at home and that too according to the way you like them.

So, without further ado, let’s dig into it.

What You’ll Need

This magic can be done with any of your favorite box-mix of cake. Generally, the box-mix will make 4 - 6 cakes depending on the size of your coffee mug or baking utensils. Alternatively, if you don’t have any vessel to bake in, microwave-safe glass bowls work well too.

How It Is Done

In a separate mixing bowl, mix your cake batter as per the instructions given on the box. Butter up the baking vessels & equally pour the prepared batter into them. Make sure that you do not fill them more than 1/2 of the way full as after baking these little cakes tend to rise quite a bit. Microwave the mixture for 2 to 3 minutes on high & remove immediately from the baking vessel when done.

Important Side Notes

After baking one batch, set them aside for 12 to 18 minutes for them cool down. Also, never forget to grease your baking vessels before you begin, unless you’ll be spending all your time trying to chisel them out.

Experiment Your Way with Frostings & Fillings

To be honest, serving cupcakes without frosting & fillings would be unjust. To dress up this amazing treat, you’d have to go an extra mile, obviously for the presentation & taste.

One way you can do it is by powdering them with confectionery sugar while others include punching a hole in the middle and filling them jam, jelly or any of favorite filling. You can also top it with whipped cream & sprinkle chocolate chips, coconut shavings or crushed almonds. You may also drizzle chocolate sauce, caramel or even peanut butter on top.

You can pretty much do anything you like- so go creative with it.

After you’re done with the decoration, stand back and take all the praise you deserve for your baking skills & imaginative presentation.
