14th August is a day of great importance, reverence and pride for all Pakistanis. It was on this day, in the year 1947 that Pakistan got independence from British colonialism after years of slavery, plunder and oppression. The Independence Day is annually observed on 14th of August and on this day everyone pays tribute and homage to all the freedom fighters who contributed a lot and fought for the Independence and betterment of Pakistan.

On this 14th August 2018, Orient celebrated the 71st Independence Day of Pakistan at their headquarters in Lahore. It has been a tradition in Orient for years now, to celebrate this great day with the same enthusiasm and energy as we do for other festivals.

The office was remarkably decorated and people were immeasurably excited for the event. Everyone at the office came in Pakistan’s traditional attire following a green & white duo color theme. The event started with the National Anthem and later the flag raising ceremony. The event was aimed to remember the freedom fighters & their sacrifices towards the sovereignty of the country.

The best thing about the Independence Day celebrations at Orient was their idea of eco-innovation that operates with the respect for environment.  To meet this Go Green objective, the senior management including Executive Director Mian Ahmed Fazal, Managing Director Mian Talat Mehmood, Director Sales & Marketing Mian Abdul Rehman Talat, Director Ms. Sidra Talat, Director Customer Experience Mian Nouman Talat, Director Operations Mr. Homaeer Waheed & GM IT Mr. Junaid Hafeez along with other company representatives planted trees for a safer, greener Pakistan.

Everyone was completely charged, in spirit and in full swing. The independence fever was on top of everyone and people were chanting “Pakistan Zindabad”. It was great feeling to see patriotism everywhere.

Independence Day celebrations concluded with the cake cutting ceremony & everyone enjoyed every bit of the sweet delight. The merriments were extremely fun-filled and no one wanted them to come to an end. The people at Orient had a great time & hoped for yet another memorable event with such a great charisma.
